Dear
Â
On a Personal Note: A travel roller-coaster
Â
I was in the middle of writing an article about 'Uncertainty', when I got the news that the UK abolished it's dreaded 'Red List'.
Â
That means: We can visit our families in South Africa over December and January as we'd planned 2 months ago! Scramble, scramble, to book our PCR pre-departure tests. Â
Â
Then, days later, France announces UK tourists are banned. Oh dear - we're flying with Air France. Hours lost on trying to figure out the requirements on websites - Help Lines are not answering their phones, probably inundated with harrassed agents on the receiving end.Â
Â
Okay, down the roller-coaster again - yes, we can go, transit passengers are allowed. Hurray! We are intending to fly to sunny SA on Tuesday 21st, provided our PCR's come back negative. We're crossing fingers, praying, and surrendering to whatever will happen. Uncertainy is still here, of course.Â
Â
I'm hearing of so many impossibly strange, sad, difficult situations for so many people. If you're in a difficult spot - I send you compassion, empathy, strength and courage.Â
Â
My go-to for times like this, is still EFT tapping. I just did about 10 mins in bed this morning before I got up. You can silently tune in to anything that is on your mind, preventing you from feeling calm, - and just do round after round of tapping. You can either speak out loud whatever comes up for you, or tap silently, while tuned in to your thoughts, emotions and
body sensations.Â
Â
Those 10 mins set the tone for my day, I felt ready to face the mountain. As I'm packing and preparing, I stop every 2 hours or so and do a bit more. I want to be present and calm for this journey, and EFT tapping is such a help to stay in the moment, instead of shooting off into the projections of our troubled mind. Â
Â
Appreciation
Â
This note also brings my sincere thanks for your presence in my community. I am so grateful for every reply, every comment, every enrolment, every client session, every workshop attendance, every time you've read anything from me.Â
Â
Thank you for helping me to use my talents and strengths! Your presence means I have ways to channel my gifts.Â
Â
I wish you the same. May your festive season be filled with love, joy, ease, grace, loving relationships, growth and blessings. And may you feel that you are appreciated for exactly who you are, with all your unique gifts, flaws and quirks.Â
Â
I'm planning wonderful things for next year,. And I don't like rushing into planning when I haven't even said goodbye to all the challenges of the past few months. So first - a lovely break with our families, and then I'll write again with what's on the menu.Â
Â
Again - thank you. Much love and blessings, from my heart to yours.Â
