Dear
On a Personal Note
I just received a beautiful newsletter from a colleague and asked him if I could take inspiration from his email.
I've been friends with my gorgeous friend Pieter Maritz since High School, when we were in music class together. We lost contact when he moved to the UK in his twenties... and fortunately we found each other again in London when we moved there in 2017. We've had many hours of deep introvert discussions,
delicious tea-and-cake-dates in London, and he offers divine body work with a unique touch. Take a look if you're in the UK!
It's Earth Day today. If you're like me, just hearing that that can create a bit of a contraction in the heart... "What on 'Earth' are we doing to our only home, and how are we going to fix this?", is the cry in my heart.
I do know, though, that when we're in despair, despondency, depression, deflated... we simply can't think straight. In order to 'do', we need to first 'be' in a different space - or else the 'doing' has some desperation or even anger entwined. And I don't believe that's a great place to create something new from.
Pieter shared this inspirational video and in turn, I'm sharing it with you, below. Joanna Macy is an eco-philosopher, scholar of Buddhism, General Systems Theory and Deep Ecology. She's an author, and widely known for her translations of Rilke's poems. Her video provided me with the hope I so sorely needed.
Also, if you are despairing about things on Earth (like war, ecological disasters) - feel free to join the EFT tapping call this coming Monday. Details are below.

How Guilt Caused a Career Challenge
I’ve heard people say after a challenging or traumatic time: “That’s all in the past now. I’m moving on.”
I’ve said it myself. And I’m all for moving on.
The trouble comes when parts of our brain (that we don’t have conscious control over) have not actually put it in the past.

When a Problem Feels too Big to Handle
I start a client journey with a valuable exercise that helps them to see all the different pieces that constitute the issue.
I know when I have a problem in my own life, it feels like one large thing. It’s hard to see clearly that it’s made up of many smaller different parts. That makes it difficult to start untangling. I want to make it easy for others to understand, too. It makes it manageable.
Therefore we spend the first session drawing their challenge on an online drawing board. They talk, I add bits to the picture, and by the end of the session, we have a small map of smaller pieces that we can work on.

Complimentary Tapping Call for Ukraine (and Earth)
Date and Time:
Monday 25 April
60 minutes
9 am Pacific | 12 noon Eastern | 5 pm UK | 6 pm SA
Cost: Free
Please register only if you can attend live. Spaces are limited to 10 people.
I might be able to share the recording afterwards, and it depends on whether a participant shared something confidential in the call.
What we'll do:
We'll use EFT tapping to release and let go of strain, stress, concern, fear, sadness, grief, disbelief, disgust... all those emotions that can cause us to feel stuck, frozen. Everyone usually feels calmer and more resourceful after the tapping. I've often found group healing even more effective than a private call. I'll offer safety, you only share what you're
willing to, and you will never be put on the spot.
With love and kindness,
Liesel
