Dear
On a Personal Note
As we were hiking on our break on the Jurassic Coast of the UK last week, I noticed how utterly happy I felt. It was almost an unfamiliar feeling to me and I had to think back... "When last was I THIS happy?"
Thruth is - a very long time ago. Perhaps the last time we were able to travel in November 2019. (Happy is different from fulfilled, content, grateful, accomplished - all of which I get to feel on a weekly or daily basis.)
On our return home, I sat in the garden with my journal to explore what exactly made me so happy. And you know, as I find with most of my work with clients, it was not just one single thing. So many boxes were ticked in those experiences as we were walking up and down the majestic chalk cliffs...
One of my discoveries was - many of my values were met on this short 4-day trip. Do you know your values? It's worth knowing them so we can make sure we meet them. And it reminded me that I have not looked at my list of values for a long time, either.
I'm going to focus on creating more mini-breaks for happiness! Below, a few pics of our experiences.

On Day 1, after visiting Durdle Door, we walked further up the cliffs. My finger is pointing to Durdle Door in the background.
Day 2: Breakfast at the beach on my birthday!
Day 2: Afternoon Cream Tea at this adorable cottage in Kimmeridge.
Day 3: On the way home, we stopped at Kingston Lacy, a gorgeous grand home first built in 1660. It houses stunning artwork, and artefacts from Egypt.

Values: What are they and what can they do for you?
The topic of a session with a client was “Values”. We first EFT’ed an enormous memory that had had huge ripple effects throughout the rest of her life.
Maybe it was just the right moment for her, after this heart-opening experience and clearing out years of suffering because of one limiting belief.
Whatever the reason, suddenly she really wanted to get to know her values. She said “I’ve read so many books telling me about values, what they are, why I should have them and I always felt like a mountain was on my shoulders whenever I tried to think about my own”.

How's your Inner Critic treating you?
If you've ever been down on yourself, you'll know this experience. We all have one and for some of us, it's a very strong, opininated part that can really let us feel awful about ourselves.
It can say things like "You're stupid, why did you do that?". It can sound like a voice from outside (you're stupid), or inside (I'm stupid).
Where does the Inner Critic and that horrid judgy voice come from? And what can we do about it?
