"Wellness is not a 'medical fix' but a way of living - a lifestyle sensitive and responsive to all dimensions of body, mind, and spirit, an approach to life we each design to achieve our highest potential for well-being now and
forever."
- Greg Anderson -
Just this morning I was thinking of how vitally important our health is, and how vulnerable and scared we can feel when it goes 'wrong' in that department.
I know, because I've been there so many times. My mother has had Parkinson's for 12 years, and it's a daily uphill battle. This morning I talked to my dearest sister about some scary health symptoms she's experiencing. My husband went through a few scares in recent months.
Ugh, it can be so hard. You'll know what
I mean if you've been there. Or maybe you know a friend or family member who knows this place.
The more stressful life things we encounter, the more our health can suffer.
We encounter stress daily from all directions. It is hard to get away from the barrage - it's on social media, radio, TV, magazines, friends tell us, the stock markets drop, our savings disappear, jobs are being cut. All of it threatens our security and safety - the most basic human need.
(If this is triggering
for you, because of a personal situation - I'm so sorry. We live in trying times and we need all the support we can get to get through it. Please reach out, I may have resources to support you.)
Life keeps putting us in fight, flight, freeze or flop. Our mind and body are not separate. All the stress might very well affect our health eventually -
physically or mentally.
I used to feel clueless about my health conditions and what caused them. I loved blaming the food I ate, lol... it was the 'simple' thing to do. "My stomach ache is due to the chilli/coffee/tomato/apple I had yesterday..."
But then - even cutting out those foods for months, had absolutely zero effect.
I became a Meta Consciousness ™ Analysis Coach because I knew our bodies don't make mistakes! I wanted to understand why symptoms can sometimes
give us so much trouble, and why we try everything and still it doesn't resolve the issue.
I finally learned that most there's a piece that hardly anyone addresses. We can cut out all the 'bad food', or eat all the right things, drink all the green juice in the world, do all the yoga and meditations... but if we leave out
this piece, the health issue may not resolve.
So below is an invitation to attend a gentle, supportive circle where my dear friend and colleague, Emma Reid, and myself will explain some of the background of our body's vast intelligence, and then we'll take questions for specific health conditions.
