"Wellness is not a 'medical fix' but a way of living - a lifestyle sensitive and responsive to all the dimensions of body, mind, and spirt, an approach to life we each design to achieve our highest potential for well-being now and forever." - Greg Anderson -
This thought has been resonating deeply with me lately:
"We simply cannot separate health from the rest of our lives."
We’re mostly taught from a young age, to think of health as something separate—something the body does, that doctors fix,
that we manage with medication or supplements.
Yet the truth is far more intricate and beautiful: our health is not just physical. It’s an ever-shifting reflection of our entire life—our emotions, beliefs, relationships, childhood experiences, habits, and the daily choices we make.
Health is not
a compartment
Our physical symptoms are deeply intertwined with our mental, emotional, and even spiritual well-being.
Like plants responding to the changing weather, we too are shaped by the conditions of our environment—internally and externally. We might influence some of these conditions, but many are out of our control. And
just like plants, we adapt. Sometimes those adaptations are healthy and supportive. Other times, they take a toll.
Take, for example, the people in our lives. We may choose some relationships (like friends or community), while others are given to us (like family). Every relationship has the potential to support our wellbeing—or to drain it.
And underneath those interactions lies an even deeper layer:
How much choice do we believe we have?
Some of us can walk away from relationships that hurt us. Others stay—sometimes far longer than is healthy—because of deeply ingrained beliefs
like:
“This person needs me.”
“I can’t abandon them.”
“I must be the good girl.”
These beliefs often emerge from roles
we’ve taken on in childhood to stay safe and loved. Many sensitive souls—myself included—have carried the identity of the Rescuer. It’s not good or bad. There’s no shame in it.
These roles helped us survive, make sense of the world, and stay connected.
In the Dreaded Drama
Triangle, we may find ourselves acting as Victim, Persecutor, or Rescuer—not because we’re flawed, but because these are simply roles we learned to play, often unconsciously, in response to early emotional stress.
Meta Consciousness™: Seeing the Whole Picture
This is exactly the kind of rich, compassionate work we do in
Meta Consciousness™.
It’s not about fixing symptoms—it’s about understanding the full, nuanced picture of a person’s life and health. Together, we explore:
- Your Wheel of Life – to assess balance and stress points
- Core values and expectations – which influence your choices and stress responses
- Play personalities – to reconnect with joy and expression
- What doctors have said and what you believe about health
- Patterns from the Drama Triangle
- A timeline of significant events—both painful and joyful
- How you primarily process life (through VAKOGs)
- The emotional events
and beliefs that contribute to your current condition
- The wisdom of your body—how it speaks, protects, and heals
- And we use tools like EFT to gently dissolve triggers and emotional charge
Healing becomes less
about “fixing the body” and more about reconnecting with the whole of who you are.
Spring and Beginning Again
As we move through spring here in the Northern Hemisphere—and a tense time globally—I find myself reflecting on this delicate balance between tending to our bodies and caring for our inner
worlds.
Spring is nature’s invitation to begin again, gently.
To grow, restore, and align with what matters.
Whether it's through nourishing food, walks in nature, switching off from social media and the news, meditation, yoga,
rest, EFT, reflection, or connecting with others who truly see us, every tender act of care becomes a seed for deeper health.
So if you're struggling with a health issue, I invite you to look beyond the symptoms:
What else in your life might be asking for your attention, your care,
your love?
Because your health is not separate. It is your life, speaking to you.
Want to explore your Whole Health story with gentle support?
