Dear
I'm a 'seasoned relationship-er'. New word, I know. I've had many wonderful romantic relationships of at least 4 years, and even 2 'failed' marriages. I used to be embarrassed about those, and no longer. Truly, after all the 'stuff' I carried about it for years, I know that all these relationships have been my biggest teachers about what's truly going on in my inner world.
It takes courage and guts to look underneath the relationship bonnet. Have you noticed how easy it is to want someone else to change, so we can be more comfortable?
The bits you'll find in this newsletter:
- My article: All relationships can be our Teachers and Healers
- A related article: Written by an EFT colleague - explaining how it is we (frustratingly) keep repeating patterns in relationships.
It’s comical to notice how often we want other people to change.
Sometimes we think we know what’s good for the other and we’ll say things like “I want them to do this or that because it will be good for them.”
Of course, we do it from a well-meaning place. Sadly, our well-meaning intention can be misguided or plain wrong for that person.
Fictional examples:
“I want her to stop smoking - for her own health's sake!”
Of course, we know that smoking is not good for a person’s health, and it can lead to serious disease. The above is well-meant for that person’s health. But if we check underneath, we may well find that actually, we hate the smell of smoking, the money they spend on it, we can’t stand kissing someone with smoke-breath, and if she gets sick…. what will the impact be on
me?
Dr Craig Weiner is an EFT colleague, whom I interviewed a number of years ago about career change. He's a chiropractor and expert in the EFT world, and he beautifully explains complex concepts in ways that are easy for us to understand.
In this article, he does a wonderful job of describing how it is that we sometimes keep repeating unhealthy relationship patterns later in life.

And the remedy to relationship trouble is.....
Well - there's never just one! We need to approach our biggest challenges from multiple angles. One of the most effective remedies I know of, is to clear up the patterns we learned as little children, through the use of the tool I love and trust: EFT.
Wishing you wellness, ease and kindness to yourself.
With love,
Liesel
