There are difficult things happening in the world all around us - and sometimes it feels weird to me to keep on going with 'business as usual' when so much is challenging us.
If you're in the US and your heart is hurting around the recent shootings, I offer my sincere empathy. It IS difficult to make sense of it. We seem to not have any easy answers.
A friend and I were chatting this past week about the huge divides that have been separating people, communities, friends, families in the past year. It's been hard to keep intelligent conversations going around the difficult topics for so many reasons. Online forums make it easy for people to 'shout' at each other - condemn, judge, criticize, blame, hurt. All of it makes it harder for us to show
up and be ourselves.
So whereever you are with any of this - I send empathy, kindness, compassion, gentleness.
And this is exactly why I want to keep doing my 'business as usual'... precisely because it offers healing, freedom, lightness and choices of doing things differently than what our inner protection mechanisms drive us to do.
I'm enamoured and completely in love with the beautiful tool of EFT, and how it's been helping people recently to throw off some old straight jackets! They get heavy, burdensome and so, so boring after we've been wearing them for years.
Through using EFT it is absolutely possible to change thoughts, beliefs, patterns, behaviours... Without forcing. Without willpower. That's why I love it.
And that's why, indeed, I'm offering another EFT class in April... and why my dear friend Deborah and I used EFT in our recent conversation about Health Information (and the freak-out it can cause!)

Have you been scared (or even scarred!) by information you've received about health issues? Of course in the last year this might be more relevant than ever...
Deborah and I have been friends for years. We care about sensitive people very much (because we are highly sensitive too!). And we want to support people like us to feel more empowered and safe, embrace our sensitivity, and let go of fears and concerns that can inevitably come with having a sensitive nervous system.
We've both been in online groups/forums where the sensitive souls scare each other and spread fear and dis-empowerment. Things like "Because I'm sensitive there are so many dangerous things I have to avoid - maybe you should avoid them
too!." Their world gets smaller and smaller.
Our intention is the exact opposite. We want to uplift, encourage, support sensitives to navigate this strange old world in which we find ourselves with wisdom, expansiveness and clear calmness.
We've just started a new pod (video) cast called "Healing Conversations" and this is the first episode. We'll do one a month on a different topic relevant especially for sensitives.
We discussed how to be discerning about the sources of our information, the importance of getting back to a calm, balanced state before making any choices, and of course - how to get back to such a state!
If you have topic requests, please feel free to reply here, or comment on the video. We want to hear what will be of service and welcome any questions, thoughts and perspectives. We certainly don't have all the answers, yet we do have many tools between us. Deborah is wise and calm - I love her to bits!

An excellent book about Values by Steve Wells
I'm rereading this book and loving every minute of it again!
Have you ever wondered where our values come from? We know it's important to know them because they help us make decisions and set priorities. However.... what if our values have been 'handed' to us unconsciously? What if we have 2 values that are in conflict with each other? And what if we realise our current values are not serving us?
Steve describes in excellent, clear ways what values really are, how they were formed in the first place, what to do when we have conflicting values and how to do the work to change values. Yes, we can change them AND it takes conscious effort. Willpower does not do it, and simply putting a value higher up on a written list certainly does not help!
Values are also not the things we are striving for. Our current values are how we actually already spend our time, money, energy and other resources. Have a close look.. where does your money and time get allocated? Those are the current values. I realised a while ago I 'thought' health was a value.... and if I looked at how little energy, time and money I put into it, it was clearly NOT
that high a value. And there begins the fascinating journey!

It's a really great addition to the 'usual' way of tapping. I've found it extremely helpful to start nudging my brain and behaviour into new directions. When we use the usual tapping process, we still don't have anything in place of the uncomfortable thought or feeling. And with the Choices Method, we absolutely do! This is a beautiful way to work towards goals, intentions, and what we want to
create.
